Crescent Moon

Last nights Waxing Crescent Moon.  Last night it was illumination was at 21%.  This photo was taken with my new Celestron 8SE Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.  This series of shots (about 7 stitched) was taken using the eyepiece projection method.

It never amazes me at how blue the skies are in the western United States.  This lake is located in Rocky Mountain National Park.  I can't wait to see it again - December will we be making another trip to Colorado!

Promenade II

The top of the Promenade II in Midtown Atlanta.  It is 40 stories tall, and clad in highly reflective glass and has a ziggurat-like tapering spire with stainless steel fins that are lit at night.
