A lake formed from snow melt waits for the pending storm that is about to befall it.   Yankee Boy Basin with Gilpin Peak (left) and Mt. Sneffels shrouded in clouds.

Capped Fence

Snow fall has covered the ground and capped the split rail fence in several inches of white powder.  What remains of the fall foliage gives way to cover the ground in brilliant hues of reds, golds, and yellows.
