Timberwind

Built in 1931, the Timberwind was originally commissioned to ferry pilots to and from their ships in Portland Harbor.  She is now a pleasure vessel taken vacationers on windjammer cruises along the coast of Maine.

Bass Harbor Head Light

Bass Harbor Head Light is located at the south entrance of Blue Hill Bay, at the southwestern end of Arcadia National Park.  It was built in 1858 and sits atop a rocky granite shoreline.

The Nubble Lighthouse

Built in 1879 on Nubble Island off Cape Neddick Point in York, Maine.  The red shed stands out, as fog seems to creep over the island.

Woodland Stairs

These stone stairs lead up to a abandoned wooded lot that was once probably a large estate or resort in Bar Harbor.  In 1947 a fire devastated vast sections of Bar Harbor, incinerating 67 summer cottages, 5 grand hotels, and 170 homes. This is probably the only evidence of this one left.

Dink's Taxi

In a small alley in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine sits the unique restaurant called Dink's Taxi.  Half of a taxi sits over the restaurant entrance.  Pretty cool place with Route 66 signs, gas pumps, and street lights.
